The Diary of Anne Frank
by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett
Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service
About the play
When Hitler rose to power in Germany and the Nazi army swept across much of Europe, millions of Jews were imprisoned in concentration camps that were, in affect, a death sentence. The lucky ones who had connections, such as the Frank family of Amsterdam, went into hiding for weeks, months, and sometimes even years. Anne Frank kept a diary of her family's time in hiding that is an endearing document of a young girl yearning to live a normal life under anything but normal circumstances.
This play took first at Sub-Sections and third at Sections.
