Golf - Girls

The 2017 Knights had a successful year that included several personal bests, two conference golfers, a section qualifier and multiple academic awards. "This is a great group of young women who work hard in everything they do and share a passion for improving themselves and leaving a positive lasting impression on everyone they encounter, on the course and elsewhere," stated Head Coach Kari Kreft. Katie Merrick was awarded the academic all-state award and senior award. “Her charismatic personality and leadership will be missed, but we are excited to see where the future leads her,” said Kreft. Jessica St. Martin was named Most Valuable Player, having the lowest scoring average for her team and was voted by her teammates as the Most Dedicated Golfer. Lexi Poyzer earned the Most Improved Player Award for the year. Libby Poyzer and Kate Wrolson rounded out the varsity team, all earning letters for their hard work and dedication this season. The previous five players and Emily Courrier were also honored with the Spotlight on Scholarship Awards for their dedication to academics and earned the honor of Section 5A Academic Champions this year.   "We look forward to a great season next year," concluded Coach Kreft.
