WCASS 5th graders got to visit the Lake Carlos Environmental Center at Luther Crest. It was a beautiful day spent outdoors. Students took part in a survival class where they got to build a shelter, build a fire and boil water. They also got to do a scavenger hunter, seeking clues to a variety of animals and attended a tree identification activity. Another opportunity included putting on mud boots and entering the pond to discover aquatic life and observe the pond’s ecosystem.
